Last week we talked about IObit Malware Fighter 3.0 on today we are going to review IOBit Uninstaller 4. This excellent software will spare you from all unneeded, spammy and hurtful software that is making your computer slower. But, I’m sure you are asking yourself, why you would need an uninstaller software, when Windows already has one.
Well, when it comes to uninstalling of programs on a Windows device, it is often not enough to run the default uninstaller the program shipped with to remove its contents from the system. Usually leftovers remain behind either in form of files or directories on the system or as Registry entries.
IObit is totally free. You can start the program anytime after download on the system without installation. It will display all programs in its interface and displays an extra tab for toolbars and plugins as well. If your OS is Windows 8, you will also get a Wind8 Apps tab on the top. We noticed some differences on this version.
From the "Settings" panel, it is possible to hide the "Powerful Scan" option when an uninstall operation is detected. We have also noticed that the option for viewing system restore points has been moved from "More Settings" to a button between this menu and "Forced Uninstall" mode. The UI theme can be switched from classic to blue. Also, we can now switch between viewing Windows Updates, all programs, recently installed, large or infrequency used programs from a drop-down list.
The Quick Uninstall module is new to this edition and proves to be very useful. It is very fast and it does the job perfectly. What is also great is that for some programs, IObit is capable of running the uninstaller unattended, meaning that users are not disturbed by any kind of messages and confirmation dialogs. We can confirm that the program doesn’t take much RAM memory while it is working and uninstalling. Your computer will definitely not lag or slow down.
While it is possible to uninstall a program using the button or right-click menu, it is also possible to simply double-click on its row in the interface to do so.The uninstaller starts the native removal process first, usually in form of a software uninstaller that shipped with the program itself, and offers to run a scan afterwards to find leftovers. This is optional at first but you can make the choice permanent so that a scan is run automatically after each uninstallation.
The Powerful Scan will enable you to find all of those leftovers and harmful registry files. You can go through each item separately to select the ones that you want removed. It is possible to select all items directly for removal, but careful users may want to go through the list to make sure only matching files get removed.

At the end of the day we love IObit uninstaller 4. The tool works smoothly, without crashing or error messages. The UI is amazing, very simple and easy to use. The Quick Uninstall option is great and fast. You can uninstall Windows updates or browser toolbars and plugins with ease. CPU and RAM usage is low, it will not slow down your PC. It is free to use! All In all it is a great software without any specific or too serious flaws.
