Press Statement
December 15, 2010
The Zomi Re-unifacation Organisation is extremely grateful to the Government of India, particularly the Union Home Minister for his exceptinal efforts to understand the political aspirations of the Zomi and other tribes of Manipur. His personal visit of Camp Muvanlai on December 15th, 2010 where in he is accompanied by the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Manipur and other central and state level officials, is histosric more ways than one. he came to us with an open heart, sat, and disscussed about the political aspiration of the Zomi and other tribes of Manipur, for over fourty minutes.
The proposition made by the Organisaation was found to be realistic and and pragmatic for which he assured to take up the matter at the prime minister's level. On his part, the Hon'ble Minister requested the Organisation to co-operate with the Govearnment in building peace and development. His candid submission to
" forget past mistakes and move forward " is, infact, the corner stone of all peace loving people of the state.
The Hon'ble Minister's physical presence of Camp Muvanlai raised new hope and aspirations for a glorious future ahead. He had paint an indelible page in the history of Zomi and other tribes of Manipur.
This momentous visit demonstrates that the time has come to put reason above emotion, and wild dreams over pramatic approach for collective survival.
